Harry Pruett

I have produced media across many different formats as artistic works, to promote brands, and as documentary work of movements and moments. I have experience crafting high quality work independently, as well as working within large teams to meet clients needs. I excel as a cinematographer, editor, and photographer, but whatever your vision I am excited to give it new life.

Highlights:

• Produced, directed, or assisted with 50+ commercials, shorts, and feature length video projects.
• Clients including Marmot, Purina, and The Washington State Secretary of States Office.
• Created documentary and narrative shorts, which were screened at film festivals across the U.S. and Internationally.

Media and Database Coordinator

• Created an ongoing documentary film project to spotlight the stories of farmworkers and organizers in Skagit Valley, project involved interviewing and building relationships with dozens of community members and identifying the larger narratives that tie their struggles together.
• Provided visual communication, reporting, outreach, public relations and copy writing/editing support for press releases, social media, and email campaigns to ensure effective outreach.
• Utilized CRM technology (CiviCRM, Asana, Salesforce) to analyze, measure, and report the impact of messaging on donors, inform changes to strategic communications planning, and clearly communicate internally and externally about organizing actions or community resources.
• Crafted and managed grant applications, resources, and provided data tracking to ensure grant requirements were met and renewed.

Event/Media Crew, Client Services, Instruction, Editor, Producer

• Managed production requiring detailed and standardized organization of files, schedules, project goals, staffing needs, and all other details required to complete projects on time.
• Facilitated workshops on media equipment and software, proper usage of spaces and equipment, and resources available in classrooms and media production areas.
• Provided production mentoring and troubleshooting with students.
• Videos crafted for social media, instructional use, and entertainment.

Web Development, Site Migration, Drupal, Web Design 

• Coordinated with client to propose design of new site and identify key materials from Drupal site
• Migrated materials, managed web-host migration, designed fresh look that matched client’s vision, and retained essential assets and articles from previous site. 
• Wrote copy, sorted materials, edited photos, and created visual language for site to maintain organizational and stylistic consistency.

Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship 

• Worked under mentor to update her award-winning documentary "Standing Silent Nation".
• Acted as an archivist to gather, organize, and effectively utilize materials from the original project, website, and BTS stills to create new and compelling materials. 
• Provided Web development services to build an impactful and engaging website for the filmmakers updated project.

Director, Writer, Producer, Graphic Designer

• Start to finish production to update and redesign training materials for confidentiality program, requiring strict adherence to legal guidelines and language, to be presented plainly, simply, accurately and responsibly.
• Wrote script for video series, shot b-roll, recorded narration, and designed motion graphics to convey complex concepts simply and effectively.
• Video series is used regularly across the state to train participants and advocates on the restrictions and best practices involved in the program.
