Isaac Newsome

I am a twenty one year old pre med student who just committed to UC San Diego as a public health major. I aspire to work in pediatric medicine as it combines my love for science and my adoration for children. I'm very passionate about social justice as well as equity in medicine.

I hope to carry on my grandfather's mission, who was the first black doctor and member of the board of education in Evansville, Indiana, in uplifting black and brown children and all other youths in underserved communities.
