I am a self-motivated and progress-driven professional with an extensive background in global affairs and international law. In addition to in-depth knowledge I have gained through my educational career, I have developed and executed strategies that I believe will bring value to my work. I am a dedicated and diligent worker and I can easily adapt to new environments.
In my previous experiences as a Legal Research Assistant and university Writing Mentor/Teaching Assistant, I executed a wide range of responsibilities. Furthermore, through my Masters at New York University (NYU), I developed an in-depth knowledge of international legal practises, international relations, and mechanisms. With my ability to learn, I know I can quickly close any knowledge gaps to become an asset to a team.
I have effective communication skills and the motivation to take on challenging work. I'm also skilled at document analysis, compliance policy implementation, and legal research. I am confident that I have the drive, knowledge and experience you need.
I recently graduated from New York University (NYU) with a Masters of International Law and Human Rights through the Department of Global Affairs. My thesis research tackled racial disparities in the United States that have resulted from our nation's former apartheid laws/practices which lasted officially into the late 1960's, but have continued somewhat discreetly until now. I proposed a reparations framework as the most effective solution for the generational harms wrought by such a system and also proposed similar frameworks to be applied to indentured labour and apartheid in other colonies.
Most recently, this was published as a monograph.
Prior to NYU, I earned my Bachelor's of International Relations from the University of the Pacific in California. During my undergraduate studies, I spent a semester abroad in Paris, France where I gained a deeper knowledge of the European Union's role in international law and global finance.
