2023 Spring Athletic Operations Intern at LSU

I am currently a Senior at Temple University studying Sport and Recreation Management with a concentration in Governance and Policy. My strengths include time management, organizational skills, planning and leadership. Starting in the Fall 2021 semester, I will be apart of the Sport and Recreation Professional Association as Secretary, an SPO on Temple's campus.
For the spring of 2022, I interned with Thomas Jefferson University's athletic department working along side the Coordinator of Equipment, Transportation and Recreational Programming. This experience allowed me to get a behind the scenes look into the world of College Athletics. For the Summer of 2022, I had the opportunity to intern with Pitch In For Baseball & Softball.
The internship program gave me the opportunity to work with the companies marketing team and social media platforms while also learning the ins and outs of their business. As my last semester at Temple approaches, we are tasked with finding a full-time internship anywhere in the country. I am happy to announce I will joining the team down at Louisiana State University in their operations department working alongside the Athletic Operations Manager.
This opportunity will give me first-hand operations experience at one of the top athletic schools in the country.
My professional experience has led to a multitude of internships across many different areas of the sports industry. Working for the Reading Phillies, the AA affiliate to the Philadelphia Phillies, has taught me that Minor League Baseball is so much more complex than to the average fan. My time with Thomas Jefferson University showed my ins and outs of a Division 2 athletic program.
Lastly, my time at LSU is showing me that a university as big as LSU has so many moving parts that no detail can be overlooked to main the highest status of athletics.
In May of 2023, I will be graduating from Temple University with a Bachelor's Degree in Sport and Recreation Management. Through the many sport courses that Temple has offered, I have seen that you can learn even more about sports without being on a playing field or court.
