At times I have to do that while also being a manager. When being a manager I have to be prepared for doing more than one task.

• Got experience multitasking, communication skills, and how to manage people when angry or disappointed

• Responsible to count money closing the night making sure team is all done as well if not help

As a cashier I was responsible for packing orders, cutting apples and also being able to take orders. I was in charge of doing more than one task: giving drinks, apples, etc.

• Got to take orders, talk with people and be able to handle money

Intern at Mentoring In Medicine and Science In this internship I was in a group of 25 kids, I was able to do this program in 3 months. In the program we learn multiple jobs in the healthcare system and understand the path of getting there and what responsibility they have. As part of the internship we were able to shadow Doctors, nurses, and LVN on what a daily day looks like for them. Shadowing for one week and being able to help them, the shifts were about 4 hours long.

• Learned the importance of high pressure and low pressure thinking on your feet on what to do to be able to be satisfied or help your patient
• Got to learn how to view x-rays, how to take pressure and where to look when taking out blood
• Looked at how the ER nurse took notes putting everything in the chart
• Became certified in CPR, Health aid got experience to work, information about the hospital and the experience

I was in a program for 3 years, in this program I was able to get experience on learning how to make friends. While making friends I was taking college classes to get experience that was going to open many future doors for me.

Nursing Assistant at Certified Nursing Assistance In this program I was able to become certified in 2 months. First was doing 72 hours online then did a 5 week course in person. During the 4 week course I was able to interact with many patients, being able to get first hand experience on patients problems and how to handle it. I was talking to seniors but also checking how they were by taking their pressure and asking if they had any pain.

• Got to view how to take pressure, on how to chart the pressure and also look at the notes that they had left to see if we needed to check up on that
• Program allowed us also to get to see how the charts were for patients
• Did many hands-on activities such as washing, feeding, and dressing the person
• Learned how to take pressure, on how to ask important questions to get to know the patient and know how to help them
