I’m 23 years old and have been in the solar industry for over three years. During my time here, I’ve acquired a wide range of skills, including bending conduit, running pipes along residential homes, and replacing, wiring, and troubleshooting solar systems. Prior to a major layoff at GAF ENERGY, I worked in this field. Currently, I’m actively seeking similar opportunities.
In GAF ENERGY, I was responsible for reading the blueprints and plans for the job. I would create a job description (JCO) and gather the team to discuss our roles and responsibilities. I was in charge of testing the solar panels individually on the roof. .
After completing the testing, I would create junction boxes and connect them to the attic if there was one. I would then run wires to these junction boxes. Additionally, I would run a DC wire pull to the inverter and connect it to the main power source using either a breaker tie-in or a tap into the main power source.
I would take pictures of my completed work and upload them at the end of the job once everything is finished. Then, I would close the job.
I have a high school diploma. However I do plan on pursuing online schooling after work to grow my knowledge.
