This plant works mostly with axles for large vehicles. It is split up into 3 business units and I was responsible for the quality of the parts in all of business unit #1 which is the starting point of the axle building process. In my area we handled the cut-offs, extrusions, and inertia friction welding of all the metal before going to the bracket weld and machining area.
Though this is where I spent the majority of my time with the company, I have also worked with the weld and machining lines as those are the production units I started in when I began with the company. After just a few short months I was "moved up the ladder" to Quality Lab Technician where I spent most of my time gaging parts and troubleshooting issues, be it the part or the process.

I supervised the quality department in a shop that paints automobile parts. I was responsible for a 3 person crew that inspects and packs parts that have been painted by our painters. I was also responsible for setting the boxes up for the shipping/recieving department and sometimes taking care of loading and unloading for the shipping/recieving department.
I kept paperwork on all jobs/tasks run on a daily basis and was directly responsible for setting our logs/oven for each individual part and keep all information recorded to turn into the H.R. at the end of each day. I started off as pack-out but was quickly noticed by the owner and after a couple smaller raises I recieved my promotion to quality supervisor after just six months with the company.
