ABA Therapist (Path 2 Potential) April 2024
As an ABA Therapist I had to address problematic behaviors by observing them, manding and keeping methodical detailed records and assessing each child and responding to them accordingly. Positive reinforcement and a behavior chat are helpful and consistency is Key. I work with an 8 year old autistic child.
While growing up and playing baseball in Little League. I learned the fundamentals at a tender age from an ex major league baseball player Orlando Cruz who played for the Red Sox and the Mets. I also learned from my father who was a pitcher at Seton Hall University.
This gave me invaluable experience on how the game is played the right way. I played baseball from little league to the high school level. Our Team made it to the state championship in baseball and football for Harrison High School.
Here I learned even more drills for hitting, pitching, fielding, and above all else a positive work ethic to always strive to be better in everything you do. I have coached little league with my father for many years and also coached with Orlando Cruz as well. We worked with all age groups.
I have also played for Marcel Galgani for multiple summers who was also a former professional baseball player and runs a clinic every summer.
During the 1997 Little League Season I was asked to help out as a coach with Orlando Cruz for the White Plains Rockies Little League Team.
During the years 2001 & 2002 I Helped out as a Hitting Consultant with the White Plains Orioles Little League Team.
I have coached Little League with my cousin in an unofficial capacity during the 2016 season.
During 2002-2003 I worked as a coach with the Our Lady Of Sorrows Baseball Team. This was 7th & 8th Grade and my role was assistant coach and batting specialist. I also have worked with the pitchers and run practice if for whatever season the head coach couldn't be there or was running late

My Professional experience has always gone well. I have always been a good employee, never reprimanded, and always hired back. Every job I have had has been long term and I was granted Tenure in both teaching assistant jobs i have had.
My most relevant education would have to be on the job training. You can read about what to do but you wont truly understand until you're doing it yourself.
