James O'Bryant

I currently own and operate OBryant Locksmith, Inc as a certified Locksmith. Before I started my company my career was as a Journeyman Welder. I bring over 11 years of hands-on welding experience supporting industrial, oil & gas, and energy-sector projects throughout Canada and the United States. I hold a Journeyman and Red Seal Welder certification and have extensive experience in structural, pipe, and B-pressure welding.

I am currently working both in the Insurance Industry doing Life and Health Insurance while also owning and operating a mobile locksmith business (OBryant Locksmith, Inc) since 2018. Throughout my welding career, I have worked on large-scale projects including Suncor Fort Hills, Husky Sunrise, and MEG Energy Christina Lake. My experience includes TIG, MIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding, fabrication and installation of structural supports, and working safely in high-demand environments with strict quality standards.

In addition to my technical skills, I offer strong work ethic, reliability, and adaptability. I have successfully worked both as a subcontractor and as part of large multidisciplinary teams. More recently, as the owner of a mobile service business, I strengthened my communication, time management, and customer service skills—qualities I bring to every jobsite.

My most recent education was getting my Life and Health Insurance License last year. In 2018 I got certified in Advanced Locksmithing through Foley Belsaw. Before that I completed my Welding apprenticeship through Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) earning my Journeyman/Red Seal Welder Certification in 2012.

I did attend University of Colorado (UCCS) for 1.5 years before making the move to Canada and starting my welding career. I graduated Coronado High School in Colorado Springs with Honors.
