I have twenty plus years experience in customer service and the past several years I have concentrated my career in healthcare. My goals are to further my education and become a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I enjoy being with my patients, helping others, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals as a team. While at work, I tend to like to be busy, active, and helping other, Wether that is my patients or my fellow co workers.
I have twenty plus years experience in customer service, restaurant and retail. the most relevant work experience being; Little Italy Deli and Restaurant, I worked there around ten years. At the restaurant I was a hostess, waitress, cashier, delivery driver. Our second owner also owned the bar and texmex restaurant next door.
I also worked there as a hostess, waitress, bartender, and did catering events. This restaurant was by my house in Centreville, Va, where I grew up. We were like a family at that job, it was one of my best experiences and jobs in life.
I also worked in retail, most relevant being at Famous Footwear in Manassas, Virginia. I was an assistant manager and associate manager, opening and closing the store, doing shipments, and managing employees. I also did some CNA work when I was younger, my license is since expired.
I have been a RN with my ADN since 2021 working at Winchester Medical Center, a level two trauma center. I work on the pulmonary/renal floor, which is also general medicine/medsurg. I have worked nights and days.
We have a mixture of different patients, from COPD and AKI, to suicide and alcohol withdrawal, to comfort care or placement, diabetes, BKA, CHF. I have received a lot of experience in many areas on my floor.
