Jarvis Vinson

I grew up in Auburn, Alabama, in a house that knew work before it knew comfort. My father served three tours in Vietnam. He came home and carried that war the rest of his life. My mother gave sixteen years to a factory floor. Then globalism took the job and left her standing. When the lights were at risk, I went to work. I was thirteen years old.

I learned early that dignity is not inherited. It is earned in hard rooms, on tired feet, by people who refuse to fold. I did not come from ease. I came from people who endured.

That beginning sent me farther than I expected. I have lived in seven countries and traveled through 47 states, not to collect stories, but to understand how people build a life, and what they do when the plan breaks. I came to believe that a nation is only as strong as the character of the people who keep showing up.

I began as a construction manager and worked my way to Vice President. I learned the job from the ground up: the schedule, the money, the people, the days that do not go as drawn. I still trust a site more than a slogan. Leadership, as I have lived it, is simple. You tell the truth. You finish what you start. You take responsibility for the people beside you.

I founded Pi Research Group and I serve as its CEO. It is an education and consulting firm I built to put what I learned into other people's hands. Along the way I wrote a book on the principles of investing and a set of manuals on business, noise, finance, and productivity. I wrote them because I got tired of watching good people get lost in the noise, and because prosperity without principle is not prosperity at all.

I am a father. My daughter is Emerson Willow. I work so the next generation inherits more than my ambition. I want them to inherit my standard.

I am still curious. I am still at work.
