Security Specialist at State of North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts (2025-09 – 2026-02)
Worked in a Cybersecurity capacity to help mitigate attacks to the Administrative Office of the Courts network. I managed multiple firewalls in a Cisco FMC environment that supported both ASA and FTD firewalls. As well as other duties within the SOC for threat mitigation and prevention.

Firewall/Network Engineer at Applied Future Technology – BLM (2023-09 – 2025-09)
As a Cybersecurity Specialist I worked with multiple applications and critical sites for Bureau of Land Management (BLM), and served as a Network Administrator heading projects to address infrastructure growth under a new administration change. Maintained the DMZ and WAF environments for BLM to address security concerns and modifying the environment to facilitate BLM hosted application to work as intended in the BLM environment as well as communication with the network equipment with other bureaus associated with BLM and federal government.
- Met with vendors and collaborated network changes in existing infrastructure.
- Headed a project to find a replacement for the Imperva WAF on-site equipment.
- Led BLM into cloud-based technology with their WAF solution.

Worked individually to support all of City of Raleigh parks, departments, and critical sites throughout the triangle for any network issue that would arise. Helped to suggest and manage upgrades and lease refreshment throughout the network, and supported over 500 nodes directly.

Worked as an individual Network Administrator/Cybersecurity Specialist to support my site in Central Office as well as assisting other Network Engineers concerning issues on all remote sites through out NC DHHS Mental Health Facilities.
- Completed a VOIP upgrade from a PBX system with DIT in Central Office.
- Analyzed and diagrammed entire networks, IP schemes, interfaces catalogs, equipment catalogs, and recommended upgrades to the networks to fit business needs.
- Headed a major project to switch over to VOIP across the State of NC at all facilities, and upgrade all networks to their optimal level.
- Backwards engineered the network with limited documentation in Central Office.
