Jason Wallace

I am a multidisciplinary visual artist, public artist, photographer, educator, and creative producer whose practice explores how public policy, cultural symbols, and visual systems shape social structures and our understanding of place. Across more than two decades, my work has moved between public space, museums, commercial photography, education, exhibitions, and community-centered cultural programming, with a sustained interest in making complex ideas accessible, thoughtful, and grounded in lived experience.

• Photographed 53 actors over three days using traditional film.

• Supported advertising and editorial productions throughout the United States and Paris and designed systems for rotating freelance assistants.

• Managed archives, film, camera and grip equipment, sets, lab coordination, print orders, and domestic/international production travel.

Fourth / Freelance Assistant at Richard Avedon Studio (1998 – 1998)

• Archived and organized the permanent photographic collection and assisted with audio-visual equipment for Calvin Klein advertising production.
