I supervise 5 assembly lines producing gas grills in a nonunion shop of which 4 are boxed units to be built by the customer and the 5th line prebuilds them. I direct a work force that consists of 6 Line Supervisors, 6 Group Leaders, 4 Quality Auditors and up to 250 hourly associates. I also am responsible for all forklift drivers, training them and ensuring lifts get serviced when required. I have instituted several checks and balances to reduce missing parts, too many parts and wrong parts that have plagued the plant since its inception. I am in charge of the plant layout that dictates flow of material from fabrication through paint to the staging areas where assembly picks their parts from.

Production Supervisor - JCIM (a division of Johnson Controls)

I supervise the manufacturing of injection molded components along with the assembly and paint of these components in a union facility for the automotive industry. I direct a workforce that consists of 5 Group Leaders, 4 Mold Technicians, 2 Process Engineers, 3 Material Handlers, 2 Paint Technicians, 1 Quality Auditor and 35 molding associates on 3rd shift. I am responsible for ensuring that all morning shipments are covered to our various customers by scheduling mold changes, startup and shut downs over various pieces of molding, assembly and paint lines as well as looking out for how these changes will affect the upcoming shifts ability to also meet our customer's expectations.

Production Supervisor - ITT Corporation

I supervise the assembly and test of military combat and FAA radios on 3rd shift over multiple departments. Gather, analyze and alert engineering of failure trends for these radios and their components. Issued disciplinary action, maintained attendance, adherence to the collective bargaining agreement, counseled employees on work performance and assigned work as priorities dictated.

Utilize a crew of 20-30 people to maintain ship goals and other metrics over 7 departments and 16 product lines. I am responsible for the scheduling, testing and pack of all ASIP RT spares requirements consisting of multiple part numbers and thousands of each part due per month.

Production Supervisor - GDX Automotive

I supervised in three different finishing (INJECTION MOLDING) departments assembling weather strip seals for the automotive industry which included prep, molding, painting and packaging for delivery. Our customer base included GM, Saturn, Ford, Volkswagen, Navistar, Kenworth and Freightliner. We significantly improved productivity and quality measurements in these departments utilizing 1 piece flow / KANBAN / TS16949 and ISO9001 principles.

I started up multiple manufacturing lines after the transition from a sister plant with the assistance of one process engineer. Wrote work instructions from scratch, learned operation of all new equipment, trained employees on operation of this equipment and implemented aggressive cross-training scheduled to meet customer demand. Developed and refined equipment layout for new processes.

Participated in numerous lean events during my 8 years always striving to reduce manpower, increase throughput and reduce scrap.

I supervised a compressor machining department for the manufacture of Ford air conditioning components. My team and I improved productivity on the shift and area by 17% over my predecessor. Production Supervisor - Fort Wayne Foundry

I supervised the mold casting department in an aluminum foundry where we manufactured automotive engine components for General Motors. We maintained a machine up time of 92.3 % against a goal of 85% for my shift. My shift had a perfect safety record during my year in a relatively dangerous environment.

I supervised production of electronic engine controls. This included assembly of PCB's, wiring harnesses and final assembly of the product. Duties included production planning, scheduling, creation of technical manuals, quality control and methods of engineering.
