Well I got into the working field starting really young 16 as a line cook and a mainstream restaurant in the town I grew up I it was just 2 months and I was given the role as lead cook in the kitchen. I soon found myself noticing construction guys coming in were not stuck in one place everyday and they seem to be having genuinely good time with one another so I decided to jump on with uninsulation company that didn't pay much I had a license and my co-worker did not who was over 40 so I really just became his chauffeur but met a company that did demolition working on a mall that hired all their labor through temp services maybe in 17 at the time I applied but I was also 6 months pregnant with my wife expecting our first baby so $8 an hour was not going to cut it so we dropped that and I stayed with them for years I started off as a high burner learning how to torch cut from these guys that work for the burner union at a New York went with them up and down the East Coast of the United States working on dilapidated power plants I realized that the operators were going home clean at the end of the day not burnt out and probably were able to play with their children so I looked deeper into that got into that and the rest is history I've stayed in heavy equipment for years again I only really done demolition and I can throw grades I can move material I can dig a trench and I work well with others and take direction very good it does not take me long to pick up something that I'm not familiar with

I started off in demolition working with national salvage and service based out of Indiana I moved up and down the East Coast working in Florida Alabama Massachusetts and New Hampshire on bringing down outdated power plants I also then that was the 2008 recession that that finally brought national salvage to an end where I then headed up to New Hampshire worked for local demolition company New Hampshire demolition and also Apollo demolition and I also decided to buy my own interior demo company to tie up any loose ends and keep busy being at this point I had two children and that I had a third one that was on its way it kept me occupied it was tough to navigate my own company just by myself people I trusted to help me out fell through but I continued in the demolition industry and move down to Florida I worked with PAW Howard Jimmy demolition kimman's contracting AAA demo I did a lot of bouncing around as an operator doing demo I've rarely seen anyone as fluid in a piece of equipment as I am I'm not gloating I just feel really comfortable in the machines I eventually got a phone call from a gentleman here in Alaska he owns Alaska demolition and ask me my credentials quizzing me over the phone ending the conversation with asking me to come up and work for him in Alaska so the story pretty much ends there I came up here I've been here for just about 7 years now as their lead operator I've conducted all the training for their operators now help them clean house allowed them to buy brand new equipment brand new service trucks brand new shops I'm looking for a company that wants to grow and will let me grow with them My wife and I love Alaska and don't want to leave

Growing up My family and I didn't have much it was a side of that I stepped back out of school and get a job I tried going back to school but there wasn't anything that was going to pay more than what I'm making and I'm constantly going through classes whether it be has Whopper you know confined spaces OSHA just a bunch of certifications I'm pretty sure all my stuff's up to date but yeah
