- Perform Dynamic Stability Studies to evaluate the impact of new generation interconnection requests on the dynamic stability of the power system. This involves using specialized power system modeling tools like PSS/E and PSCAD.
- Conduct Dynamic Stability Studies to assess the grid's ability to handle new generation, ensuring compliance with reliability standards and planning principles.
- Generate, analyze and interpret Interconnection Study Results to provide technical insights and recommendations.
- Lead Interconnection Analyses by guiding interconnection projects through the PJM queue process.
- Develop and maintain accurate transmission system models required for various planning activities, including those related to interconnection requests and system retirements.
- Develop Dynamic Models for new generation sources (especially renewables like solar and battery storage) that accurately represent their dynamic behavior in stability studies.
- Verify and validate models to ensure they comply with PJM's dynamic model development guidelines and accurately represent the interconnected projects.
- Evaluate customer requests and system analyses to ensure compliance with NERC standards, FERC directives, and PJM and transmission owner planning principles.

- Evaluation of current and planned transmission systems to estimate available transmission capacity for projects and make recommendations to the regional development teams.
- Track transmission developments in regulated and organized markets in order to advise regional teams in the handling of all transmission & interconnection related issues.

- Propose hedging solutions to ultimately reduce energy price differential between different locations within an energy market.
- Work with Market Operations to ensure that a complete understanding of transmission and market-related risks are included in the FTR and hedging strategies.
- Provide assessment of grid interconnection to support Origination and M&A activities, such as LMP, congestion risk, curtailment risks, basis risks.
- Analyze, forecast, and provide guidance regarding Financial Transmission Rights (FTRs), forward prices, transmission congestion, curtailments, and LMP basis price spread.
- Serve as transmission and market design expert by tracking changes, performing research regarding interconnection and transmission policies including FERC record searches, and reviewing key topics and research and review of market rules or processes.
