Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Cytology Department and the microscopic evaluation of cellular material using established morphologic criteria under the direction of the Cytopathologist/Anatomic Pathology Manager as specified. Maintaining professional interactions with all staff and offering support to other team members.

• Supervision of the screening area and technical oversight of the Cytology laboratory

• Screening of all liquid based cytology, both manual and imaged, as well as conventional slides
• Perform microscopic evaluation of GYN and NON-GYN cytological specimens following laboratory procedures
• Ensure proper documentation of workload recording as required by CLIA guidelines
• Comply with all safety, infection control and HIPAA policies
• Review daily workload cases called unsatisfactory by Cytotechnologists and render a final report
• Attending FNA/ROSE procedures and making reports on adequacy
• Accessioning and Preparing specimens in the laboratory
• Recording daily statistics of temperature logs, eyes wash, etc in the Laboratory
• Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures on a consistent basis
• Maintains the CME documentation for the entire Cytology department
• Maintains Cyto-biopsy correlation and 5 years review of NILM
• Process and maintain payroll and personnel files
