Over the last 25 years, I've built my career on one simple principle: Design is equal parts business and creativity. I'm the designer who understands collaborating with Design & Merchandising teams, working closely with Sourcing, Manufacturing and Sales and delivering on-trend designs and concepts that tick all the boxes of your: targeted cost, profit and market needs. It's what's earned me long-term design contracts at billion-dollar retail brands to middle market wholesale brands to private label workwear.
My education at F.I.T. prepared me to be professional and detail oriented. My professional experience has ranged from gym apparel, golf, swim, yoga, running, basketball, hockey, athleisure, medical scrubs, cheer, fan gear.... pretty much reality lifestyle.
My job and need for new experiences have allowed me to travel extensively throughout Europe, Asia, Scandinavia, and the United States. One of my strongest talents is spying trends in at home and abroad and translating into on-trend collections.
Being involved in corporate culture as a freelancer, I am very interested in what makes a brand tick from identity to marketing to product. I love being exposed to all niches of a company. I am an IBM brat, so I've moved numerous times and gone to 13 different schools. This has given me the skill set to integrate easily into an established team.
I attended college and lived in New York City for 13 years. I moved back to Georgia in 1996 and have been freelancing ever since.
I live on a horse farm in Waleska Georgia with 2 horses named Psykhe and Fendi, 2 mini donkeys named Cappuccino and Venezia, 2 cats named Little Boo and Rosalisa and 1 dog named Lira.
Working long term retainer contracts has been my specialty. I do love working on interesting freelance projects that pop up too.
Graduated with a BFA from FIT.
