I completed my degree in Psychology at UCLA and have been in the process of creating an application towards medical schools. I have experience working as a medical scribe in an Emergency Department, as well as experience working as a research assistant in projects surrounding the social health sciences. With respect to scribing, I am proficient at working within a high patient-volume environment and managing my own time when there are many tasks at hand. In my previous setting, I scribed for 4-8 providers at any given time and averaged 35 patient charts per 8 hour shift. As for my research, my favorite project was to study the knowledge and experiences of microaggressions within UCLA staff communities. I value opportunities that allow me to interact with people from the community and learn from the ways they navigate their lives, so that we can overall work together to follow a mission and vision that aims to better our individual and collective well-being.
