Jesse Jeffers

Hello! My name is Jesse Jeffers, and I am a Physical Education and Health Education teacher in Tennessee! My beautiful wife received a job offer from Milwaukee Children's Hospital and we are relocating in May of this year (2023).

In May of 2022, I graduated with my master's degree in Exercise Science/Sports Management from Tennessee Technological University, where I also graduated in 2019 with my bachelor's in Exercise Science/Physical Education (K-12 Licensure). I believe a student's understanding of physical education and how to be healthy for the duration of their life is the most essential information they can obtain in school. Building their physical literacy with proper knowledge and techniques is also the most important job of a Physical Education teacher, Health teacher, coach, or Athletic Director.

I am very passionate about giving students the proper knowledge of being healthy, but I am also very passionate about sports and athletics as a whole. I have coached basketball, football, and even started a track team to create more opportunities for students who may or may not excel in other sports. I have also been given the title of Strength and Conditioning Coach at my current school in plans to make specific workouts and training for sports that are in the off-season.

With my experience and educational background, I believe I can bring knowledge and a teaching style that motivates students, teachers, and coaches to be the best they can be by creating a fun, positive, and professional atmosphere in the workplace.

I have taught Physical Education at 2 elementary schools and I am currently at a middle school. I have coordinated basketball camps at the elementary level, and most recently have coached basketball, football, and also have been the strength and conditioning coach. I created a track team at my middle school as well.

I have a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science/Physical Education (K-12 Licensure), and a master's degree in Exercise Science/Sports Management.
