Mental Health Clinician- BCFS ORR Operations- Carrizo Springs, Texas
As a clinician with ORR I conduct UAC and Risk assessments to unaccompanied minors. I also provide emotional support and interventions to help the unaccompanied minors cope during the reunification process. Individual and group sessions are also provided to ensure the minors well-being and assess current functioning.
I develop individualized safety plans for the tender age. I also administer the ColumbiaSuicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS) for at risk minors and develop avoid self-harm contracts if necessary.

Job Description: As an Early intervention specialist I conduct initial evaluations using the Battelle Developmental
Inventory and the Hawaii Early Learning Profile. I develop Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) based on the child and family’s needs. I follow the Coaching Model to help the parents implement strategies in their daily activities to help their child’s development.
As a service coordinator I help families by providing them with developmental information as well as community resources. I keep child information up to date including consents for specialists and medical referrals while also conducting 6-month reviews, periodic reviews, transition planning and annual evaluations.
