Jessica Moreno

I am switching careers to become a nurse and am looking for medical technician or clinical technician positions in the northern Virginia area.

I most recently worked as a case manager supervisor for over one year and before that I was a case manager for three years, both working with the Unaccompanied Immigrant Program under the Office of Refugee Resettlement. Before this I worked for nine months in Spain as a director's assistant for a center that served immigrants. I also have three years of experience as a head lifeguard.

Each of these positions taught me how to think critically, lead and work well under pressure, and empathize with other cultures and mindsets.

I have a Bachelor of Global Studies from the University of Virginia an Associate of Science. My studies at UVA taught me many different mindsets through which I can view the world, and on a more practical level, earning my degree at UVA taught me discipline, stretched my mind, and grew my determination. My Associate of Science grew a fascination in me for the sciences, and sparked my interest in the medical field.
