I am a veteran teacher of 12 years. I have both my Bachelor and Master of Music Education and I also have experience teaching students from pre-school all the way to college level. I am in love with the magic that is music and how students can achieve so much with a little bit of kindness and understanding from their teacher.
While I have been at Long County High School, I have been the administrator of the Music Department as well as the Director of the Blue Tide marching band. While it has been quite an experience for me, I feel like I need to move on to where I can expand my skill set.
While attending Kent State for my Masters, I engaged in research of instrumental music around the world and developed a passion for how we as humans release so much emotion into our music and how that, in turn, changes who we are as a society.
