I have a rare and powerful skill set spanning scientific research, programming and field work through a variety of professional experiences. I am a hard-working, innately curious and independently motivated candidate who can easily integrate into and thrive within any team. I possess over a decade of experience working in both experimental and theoretical research groups, with a focus on photophysics and spectroscopy, having led to multiple first author publications.
These fields are heavily intertwined with data analysis and statistics, having molded me into an expert on the design of experiments, aggregation and cleaning of data, and the testing of hypotheses and models. I am passionate about learning and continuing to grow my breadth of knowledge and technical acumen, as such I have recently completed a Data Scientist certification program and am currently enrolled in courses to grow my Python programming and Machine Learning skill sets.
Have worked in all aspects of industry, academia and government research as a research scientist, engineer, teach and field technician.
I obtained my PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Colorado in Boulder, where I studied charge generation and recombination in organic photovoltaics at the National Renewable Lab. I got my Bachelors in Science in Chemistry at the University of Florida, where I graduated summa cum laude.
