Responsibilities: PRE-DIALYSIS
Check for proper functioning of the machine
Prime bloodlines and prepare all necessary supplies needed
Establish appropriate plan of care
Extract blood samples when laboratory testing is required
Proper Cannulation of Vascular Access or opening of Central Venous Catheters
Monitor vital signs every 30 minutes or as needed
Administer medications as prescribed by the in-house nephrologists
Ensure safety of the patient during the procedure
Notify early signs of complications and provide immediate nursing intervention Carry out doctor’s order
Assessment and evaluation of patient post treatment Administer post hemodialysis medications
