I am a Higher Education professional with a serving students outside the classroom. What elements of their lives impact others and what can I do to best support them? It is my goal to continue working in service-oriented roles in and outside of academics so that I can keep these muscles strong.
I have worked in customer service for nearly a decade, working residence life and event planning roles at universities including The University of Texas at Austin and Vanderbilt University, among others. I have also served in several retail and non-profit roles to expand on my skills in customer service.
My educational background reflects a strong foundation in communication, leadership, and higher education administration. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Communication from East Carolina University, which strengthened my ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders through clear written and verbal communication. I earned a Master of Science in Higher Education from the University of Central Arkansas, where I deepened my understanding of student services, organizational leadership, and administrative practice.
I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy at Vanderbilt University, further advancing my expertise in strategic leadership, policy analysis, and institutional effectiveness. Together, these programs have equipped me with the leadership, analytical, and administrative skills essential for success in complex educational and organizational environments.
