Having spent over twenty years honing my skills in prevention/intervention counseling, guidance counseling, case management, among other counseling avenues. Pursuing a certification as a school counselor was my next step. Working in the school system for many years helping students work through obstacles that may keep them from academic success has shown me that I have what it takes to assist students on their journey to success.
With the learned skills from both schools and years of working in the field, I was able to extend my learning to several different cultures, as well as creating a diverse and expansive portfolio of resources to help me assist those under my care and supervision. I believe I have a stronger understanding of what it is like to give of myself and to help people of all backgrounds.
