Johan Maysonet

I am a mechanical engineer with a bachelor’s degree from MIT and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech. My interests include process engineering, manufacturing, product design, 3D printing, automation, and data-driven problem-solving.

Throughout my academic and professional experience, I have worked on projects involving CAD, finite element analysis, reliability engineering, optimization, manufacturing and design. I enjoy breaking down complex technical problems, identifying practical solutions, and collaborating with others to improve processes and designs.

I am especially interested in opportunities where I can apply my engineering knowledge to real-world challenges, continue developing my technical and leadership skills, and contribute to projects that create measurable value and a positive impact. Project Engineer Intern at CIC Construction Group - LNG Power Plant Construction Project, Amgen Juncos (2025-06 – 2025-08)

• Oversaw day-to-day construction operations for an LNG power plant project, coordinating field activities for a crew of nearly 100 workers.
• Reviewed blueprints and construction drawings to verify field work met project specifications and design requirements.
• Coordinated daily with contractor groups, scheduled concrete pours, supported environmental safety inspections, and maintained project documentation.

Research Assistant at MIT Department of Mechanical Engineering - Deng Energy and Nanotechnology Group (2023-02 – 2024-07)

• Designed flame-assisted spray pyrolysis system burner module improvements using CFD to reduce particle sedimentation and improve lithium-ion material yield lithium-ion battery material fabrication.

• Modeled and analyzed structural, magnetic, and thermal components for a 110-kW electric vehicle using 3D CAD tools.
• Built COMSOL simulations comparing electromagnetic behavior and heat transfer in planar and coil inductor designs.
• Supported design and manufacturing of a modular dynamometer for two- and four-wheel vehicle testing.
