It’s an exciting time to be in nuclear medicine with advancements in both the image quality of the scanners and the continued addition of diagnosis specific radio-pharmaceuticals. My extensive experience in nuclear medicine, specifically in PET/CT imaging paired with a dedicated patient focused approach would be a great addition to a company aiming to be on the forefront of positive outcomes for their patients.

I have been in the healthcare field for over 30 years. I was recruited by a company during my senior year as a psychology major at the University of North Florida to be a part of a team dedicated to assisting children and young adults with physical or developmental disabilities. My job assisting those children took me through many hospitals and imaging centers and eventually a desire to transition to a career in nuclear medicine.
I was recruited while in nuclear medicine school to be assistant to the lead technologist in one of the first PET departments in the Jacksonville area that utilized PET technology for both oncology and cardiology applications. I played a major role in networking with cardiologists to educate them on superior quality of PET rubidium rest/stress protocols over the standard SPECT gamma cameras.
In subsequent roles I excelled in the advancing field of oncology/hematology utilizing PET/CT technology in the detection of abnormalities in patients and cancer localization to assist in developing a treatment plan to achieve full remission. My role at the Florida Radiation Oncology Group involved working with the radiation oncologists and therapists in setting up and acquiring treatment planning simulations. I was skilled in the setups, three point marking and patient positioning to obtain the diagnostic information needed to establish a treatment plan to guide the radiation therapists.
At CSNF, I gained expertise in the administration of the many new diagnosis specific radiopharmaceuticals for imaging and the emerging field of theranostics administering targeted brachytherapy agents to treat various types of cancer. I obtained my CT certification in 2014 through the NMTCB and added another key modality to my imaging expertise.
A desire to get back into cardiology took me to an exciting position with Cardiology Physicians. While there I was trained on the latest in technology for cardiac imaging and continued my goal to create the best experience for the patients who came to us for help.
