I have both an A.S. in Math/Science and a B.S. in Biology from Victor Valley College and Cal State University, San Bernardino respectively. During my time at CSUSB I was awarded both an S-STEM Scholarship and a California Institute of Regenerative Medicine Fellowship before graduating with Cum Laude honors. I have roughly 20 years of various work experience in professional fields such as Security, Customer Service, and more.
I am currently in the process of completing my TEFL/TESOL Certification and have just started a new part-time job as a Behavioral Aide for DSPS. I am no English major but very fluent in the language as I am a native speaker; my college transcripts in English courses can also verify that my knowledge in the subject is above elementary for sure.
I have around 20 years of work experience in various fields, where to start? To cover the last 10 years of my experience which is usually sufficient for most, I have done a lot of Security Officer work holding down various posts such as warehouses, hotels, bars, restaurants, school alarm response, MMJ, etc. I have also done off gigs such as driving for Lyft and Uber and delivering for Postmates giving me a wide range of customer service experience in the process and working with a variety of individuals from different backgrounds.
I have also done repair work at grocery stores and filled in as a lab assistant during a fellowship while completing my Bachelor's Degree.
I completed my High School Diploma in 2005 through the Victor Valley Union High School District and attended Victor Valley College for the first time in 2009 pursuing a degree in Psychology and a certificate as an Emergency Medical Technician. Neither of these went to the finish as they barely got started on my end before I returned to pursue a certificate in Welding from 2014-2015. This certificate was unable to be obtained due to financial burdens and I finally returned to the college in 2017, where I was able to complete my A.S. for Transfer in Math/Science in 2019.
Upon completing my A.S. for Transfer, I moved to Cal State University, San Bernardino and completed my B.S. in Biology from 2019 to 2021. During my education at CSUSB, I was awarded both a S-STEM Scholarship and a CIRM Fellowship before graduating with Cum Laude honors. I am now completing my TEFL/TESOL Certification.
I also have Pre-Requisites for Clinical Laboratory Science completed and a CLS Trainee License, but this is not that relevant.
