I have been a CDL Class A LTL truck driver for over thirty years, I have been working for USF Holland for the last twelve. That includes working in the Meijer yard dropping and hooking trailers.
I have been with USF Holland out of Jackson Michigan for over twelve years, before that I was a trucking instructor at Baker college in Cadillac Michigan. I was also an LTL driver for Alvan Motor Freight in northern Michigan for fourteen years. I made deliveries and pick ups in almost every part of Northern Michigan.
I was an instructor at Baker College in the transportation department in 2010 and 2011. My job was to instruct new Truck drivers on the range for two weeks, teaching them technical skills. Then I had them for six weeks on the road. During this time I also participated at the Eaton skid pad for defensive driving, I was a judge at the Michigan Truck Driving Championship and I took fatigue training with the State of Michigan.
