Jordan Jackson is a recent graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance performance and choreography and a Certificate in entrepreneurship. She began her dance training in Cleveland, Ohio, studying various styles of dance under artists, including Karen Colabianchi and Dee Hillier. Jordan has taught dance at multiple studios throughout Cleveland and taught a non-major ballet course at Ohio Universtiy.
While in college, Jordan performed in Amy Miller’s work PZOD, Travis Gatling’s work Shadows and Doubts (Winter Dance Concert, 2023) and Brian Brook’s work, Flight Study (Winter Dance Concert, 2022). She also choreographed numerous group and solo works during her time at Ohio University. In 2023, Jordan was awarded an experiential learning grant to study multiple styles of dance in New York City.
In addition, she has significant production experience, including stage managing, lighting design, sound operation, video, backstage crew, and in various venues, such as Lancaster Music Festival. Currently, Jordan works as an outreach teacher for the Cleveland Ballet, where she brings dance education to areas where art is less accessible. She also works as an intern for two dance-related nonprofit businesses in the Cleveland area, including The Movement Project’s Cleveland Dance Fest and CDP company.
Jackson is an artist, dancer, choreographer and teacher who continuously strives to create a caring and humanistic environment in the dance world.
