I am a dedicated respiratory therapist in my first year of practice at Queen of the Valley Medical Center. I am committed to providing exceptional respiratory care while continuously expanding my knowledge and skills. My enthusiasm for learning and growing drives my passion for empowering patients and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver the highest standard of care.
Along with my year of clinical experience in all different settings of Respiratory therapy, I've gained valuable hands-on experience and grown tremendously, both clinically and professionally. I've worked closely with patients who require advanced respiratory support, managing ventilators, and analyzing arterial blood gases to ensure they receive the best care possible. Each case has been an opportunity to learn, from acute critical scenarios to helping patients manage chronic respiratory conditions.
I’ve also developed strong collaboration skills as part of a multidisciplinary medical team, contributing to patient care plans with both precision and empathy. One of the most rewarding aspects of my role has been educating patients, empowering them to take charge of their respiratory health. This year has been a journey of continuous learning challenges, refining my skills, and building confidence in my ability to provide excellent care while growing into a well-rounded professional.
During my time at SJVC Ontario, I built the foundation for my career as a respiratory therapist. The program provided me with a comprehensive education in respiratory care, covering both theoretical knowledge and hands-on clinical training. I gained a strong understanding of topics such as cardiopulmonary anatomy and physiology, respiratory therapies, and patient assessment techniques.
Through clinical rotations, I had the chance to apply what I learned in real-world settings, working with patients under the guidance of experienced professionals. These experiences not only strengthened my technical skills but also deepened my empathy and ability to connect with patients. SJVC Ontario’s supportive learning environment and dedicated faculty played a crucial role in preparing me to handle the challenges of my first year in the field with confidence and enthusiasm.
