Highly motivated undergraduate student pursuing degree in Employment Labor Relations (ELR) at Wayne State University, currently seeking workforce experience in labor relations, contract negotiations, collective bargaining, and mediation.
I am currently working as a server at Jagged Fork to supplement my income while I'm in school. I was previously a legal assistant at Ayar Law, which focused on Tax and Tort law. My responsibilities at at the law firm included communicating with the Internal Revenue Service and the State of Michigan.
I conducted data analysis, compiled financial documents, communicated with agents, and delegated Power of Attorney Documents among many other responsibilities. I believe working in both administrative and labor settings has given me a comprehensive understanding of labor dynamics.
In the Labor Relations program I have been involved in mock arbitrations for both the employees and the company to settle disputes. I have also conducted job analysis reports by familiarizing myself with databases such as O*NET. In my economics courses I've compiled and conducted quantitative analysis using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Department of Labor among others.
Using this information, I created presentations that were shared among classmates and faculty. I completed my Associates in Art Degree at Oakland Community College, and I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree in labor studies at Wayne State University. I have developed a key understanding of labor history, labor legislation, and work-related economics while in the labor studies program.
My target graduation date at Wayne State University is for the Fall of 2023.
