I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist (WA State) with a PSYPACT authorization with expertise in program management and substance use disorders treatment using evidence-based modalities through a harm reduction lens.
I served for 7 years as a program manager within one of the largest outpatient VA substance use disorders clinics in the country. Most recently, I worked 3 years at Lyra Health supervising between 20-35 clinicians doing outpatient evidence-based therapy via telehealth, including specialty substance use treatment.
I have served as a Motivational Interviewing Consultant and am a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT). I am a former adjunct instructor for Seattle Pacific University, having taught graduate courses in Treatment of Substance Use Disorders/Externalizing Disorders and Motivational Interviewing. I have led multiple large trainings for clinicians on the topics of Harm Reduction and Motivational Interviewing.
Clinically, I practice from a harm reduction orientation, which is a client-centered approach that supports a broad range of substance use goals and draw heavily from Motivational Interviewing, Behaviorist, & Acceptance & Commitment Therapy approaches.
I am a strong advocate for social justice, and I currently volunteer as a member of the Income Inequity and Health Task Force through the Washington State chapter of Physicians for Social Responsibility.
