I am a recent graduate from the University of New Haven where I received both my B.S. in Forensic Science and my M.S. in Chemistry. During my undergraduate degree I completed an honors thesis with research in organic chemistry synthesis, focusing on the synthesis of chiral [7]helicene, which I continued working on throughout my graduate degree. During my time as a student I also worked for the University's Center for Learning Resources as a Learning Assistant for Calculus I, Organic Chemistry I, Elementary Statistics, and Physical Chemistry I, as well as a graduate assistant for marketing and publicity and peer tutor during my graduate studies.
During both my undergraduate and graduate studies, I worked as a peer tutor for chemistry and math, allowing me to gain a deeper understanding of the concepts covered in my own classes by helping others, pairing with the hands-on experience I gained through my own research and lab experiences.
I have received my M.S. in Chemistry and my B.S. in Forensic Science with a concentration in chemistry from the University of New Haven. I was a part of the honors college during my undergraduate studies and completed an honors thesis working on research in organic chemistry synthesis, which I continued working on throughout my graduate studies. By focusing my undergraduate studies on forensic science, I was able to receive a well rounded education in physical sciences, with a concentration on quality control and hands-on lab experience, allowing me to discover my love for chemistry and chose to focus my graduate studies in this field.
