Julia Evangelista

My name is Julia Marie Evangelista. I am a P5 student at LIU Pharmacy, and I currently work as a Pharmacy Intern at Walgreens. I am very invovled within my school, being an active member in several pharmacy organizations such as APhA, and am a member, serving as the treasurer this year for SNPhA.

I knew from a very early age that I wanted to be in the medical field. Even now, I love seeing my customers at Walgreens, I love seeing them get better and improving their health and I truly want to dedicate my time into this.

Pharmacy Intern at Walgreens Pharmacy (2024-06 – Present)

• Consult patients on over-the-counter medications and educate them on proper use
• Administer immunizations and promote routine vaccination scheduling
• Collaborate with physicians regarding patient prescriptions to prevent drug therapy problems
• Review and verify incoming electronic prescriptions into patient profiles
• Interpret written prescriptions to fill and label medication doses
