I am a highly dedicated teacher who is passionate about teaching elementary aged student in pk-5 physical education. I am a fun, flexible, motivated, and energetic teacher who loves to teach children how to love sports and exercises. I have been teaching and coaching since I was in high school. I still teach private swim lessons every summer.
I started out teaching PE in HEB ISD back in 1997 and then I started my family and stayed home with my children until my youngest was in school. I then was a substitute teacher for 8 years in Keller ISD and Carroll ISD. In 2014 I was hired as an Assistant PE teacher in HEB ISD at West Hurst Elementary School where I stayed until 2016.
From 2016 until 2018 I was a PE Assistant and Low Impact teacher at Walnut Grove Elementary School in Carroll ISD. In 2018 I got hired by Birdville ISD to be the head swim coach at Richland High School and the PE Teacher at Jack C.
School.
I graduated from LD Bell High School in Hurst and then went to college in Lubbock at Texas Tech University, where I received my Bachelors of Science in Exercise and Sports Science. I also have my ESL pk-12 teaching certificate as well.
