I am a PE Teacher with my All Level PE pk-12 Texas Teaching Certificate, which is for a lifetime. I currently live in Keller, Texas. I have been teaching full time for the past 10 years. Before that I was a substitute teacher for 8 years.
I was also the head swim coach at Richland High School and I teach private swim lessons every summer. I also have my ESL pk-12 teaching certificate, and I am also CPR and first aide certified. I attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
I was involved in intramural sports, I was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, was Rush Spirit in my sorority, and in Freshman Class Council. After college I was a flight attendant for American for one year before teaching school. I only taught for one year and then started my family.
I was a stay at home Mom until my youngest began kindergarten. I was very involved with my church, coached my daughter's volleyball team, taught private swim lessons, and played USTA and NETS tennis.
I started teaching PE in HEB ISD at Donna Park Elementary in 1997, where I taught for one year before starting my family. I stayed home with my children until my youngest started school in 2008 and then I was a substitute teacher for eight years in Keller ISD and Carroll ISD. In 2014 I got hired by HEB ISD as a PE teaching assistant at West Hurst Elementary.
Then, from 2016 to 2018 I taught at my daughter's school in Southlake at Walnut Grove Elementary as a PE Teacher's Assistant. In 2018 I got hired by Birdville ISD as the head swim coach at Richland High School and PE teacher at Jack C.
Elementary.
I graduated from Texas Tech University in 1994 with a Bachelor's in Exercise and Sports Science and my second teaching field is Health Education.
