Justin Butler holds a bachelor's degree in a writing intensive film studies program at the University of Richmond. Since receiving his bachelor's, he has lived two years in Zambia with the Peace Corps as a teacher in an impoverished rural community. Justin has worked in a variety of positions in a variety of fields. Most recently, Justin was an educator of 5th and 6th graders in Zambia from 2023 to 2025. There, he created educational materials and curriculum, led meetings and trainings, and managed classroom sizes of 70-80 students, while also integrating into a new culture and language.
Prior to this, Justin worked as a research assistant at the University of Richmond's department of music in 2021 and 2022. He wrote scripts, edited video footage, and travelled to Cuba to capture footage for the making of a mini-documentary.
He also worked as an administrative assistant at the University of Richmond's Student Center for Equity and Inclusion for 2019 to 2022, where he helped with daily administrative tasks such as organizing storage space, creating including posters and invitations for events and logging data into spreadsheets collected by the office for submission to other university offices.
Justin Butler has received a Bachelor of the Arts in the writing intensive film studies program at the University of Richmond. He also has an up-to-date Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification he received after completing his Peace Corps Service.
