It is my belief that a teacher is one of the major cornerstones in the development of any student. The role that we play as educators can mold, inspire and cultivate a student to exceed beyond measure. Each one of us that chooses too can pour into a student our knowledge, experience and passion for learning. It is my hope as I continue to grow into this field to exemplify the teachers that inspired, challenged and stretched me to be who I am today. They unlocked a hunger in my spirit at a young age that I still carry with me through my own educational endeavors.
The class room is not only a medium for learning and growth but a place to explore life and principles. I believe that freedom of expression and interaction are keys to promote a good dialog between teacher and student. It is also imperative that we as educators allow the student the opportunity to “come into their own” on a gradual basis with support and guidance. However, with every ounce of support there is also a need for a level of expectation of greatness. We must instill in the student that mediocre is not a level to strive for but one that should be avoided.
One of my hopes as an educator is to instill a love of learning in my students, as I share my own passion for learning with them. I feel there is a need for compassionate, strong, and dedicated individuals who are excited about working with those who are trying to continue their education. In our competitive society it is important for students to not only receive a solid education, but to work with someone who is aware of and sensitive to their individual needs. I am such a person and will always strive to be the best educator that I can be.
Most recently, I was as online/virtual Business Professor for Lincoln College in KSA with their International School for Women. Prior to that position I was a Professor in China at Chongqing Technology and Business University (CTBU) in their International School of Business.
My courses at CTBU included Marketing and College Business English (Oral and Listening) respectively. My teaching experience abroad and within the United States has prepared me to be an effective communicator and educator to students from various backgrounds.
It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, intelligent teacher who will make a positive contribution to your educational institution. I would welcome an interview for openings in the 2023-23 school year.
