At Comcast, my work sits at the intersection of traditional networking and modern cloud infrastructure. On any given week, I'm configuring ACI spine-leaf fabrics, managing Palo Alto and Fortinet firewall policies across multiple sites, troubleshooting BGP routing between on-prem and Azure, and writing Python scripts to automate the repetitive parts of network operations so my team can focus on problems that actually need human judgment which gave me exposure to very different network environments a large US media company scaling a hybrid cloud infrastructure, and an international financial institution with strict compliance and multi-site redundancy requirements. Both pushed me to be methodical about documentation, change management, and building things.
