I am a Molecular Biologist with expertise in molecular techniques, protein science, and cell culture. My experience includes plasmid construction (SnapGene), electroporation, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR techniques (colony PCR, RT-qPCR), and protein purification using ÄKTA. I have worked extensively with mammalian (CHO) and bacterial cell cultures, optimizing conditions for stable antibody production.
Currently, I work as an Associate Scientist at Arcellx, where I develop stable CHO cell lines for monoclonal antibody production, perform molecular cloning (HiFi cloning, restriction digestion), and conduct gene expression analysis through RNA extraction, reverse transcription, and PCR amplification. I also handle protein purification, ELISA assays, and imaging techniques using Zeiss confocal microscopy.
Previously, I was part of the COVID-19 diagnostic research team at Med Quest Diagnostic Center, where I led a team in molecular analysis and troubleshooting RT-PCR-based testing. As a Junior Researcher at Gandhi Medical College, I worked on HPV detection using molecular techniques and gained knowledge in NGS and molecular docking for drug design.
I am proficient in bioinformatics tools (BLAST, AutoDock, MEGA), data analysis, and scientific writing. I have presented research at international conferences and hold two master’s degrees (M.S. in Biological Sciences from Eastern Illinois University and M.S. in Genetics from Osmania University, India). My dissertation work focused on plant-soil interactions and HPV research.
