In my career after college, I worked in biomedical research. I transitioned out of lab as a lab coordinator, maintaining a molecular biology core facility. I'm always interested in stretching myself and doing new things, so I decided that I wanted to teach. For four years I have been teaching high school chemistry. I have enjoyed the experience in secondary education but think I would like to teach more mature students.
I am a people-person and a great communicator. My speaking and written skill have been honed through additional graduate education. I'm very passionate about life-long learning and I am an avid reader and writer. I like sharing ideas and enjoying live concerts and plays.
