I am a dedicated and compassionate professional with a background in education, child welfare, and veteran advocacy, and I am currently pursuing my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. With nine years of experience as a Special Education Teacher, I transitioned into roles supporting families through the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) and as a foster care facilitator with Unite Family Services. Today, I serve as a Patient Advocate with the U.S.
Department of Veterans Affairs, where I help veterans and their families navigate complex systems of care.
My passion lies in advocacy, equity, and empowerment. I believe in amplifying voices that are too often unheard—whether that means supporting children and families in crisis, guiding veterans through resources, or working to influence policies that create lasting systemic change. I am particularly interested in social justice, cultural humility, and building stronger community partnerships to address barriers that impact vulnerable populations.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, caring for my five dogs and horse, and continuing to grow as both a professional and individual. I welcome opportunities to connect with others in the fields of social work, education, veteran services, and policy advocacy.

Currently, I serve as a Patient Advocate with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, helping veterans and their families access resources, resolve barriers, and ensure equitable care.
With a strong foundation in advocacy, cultural humility, and systemic navigation, I bring a holistic perspective to supporting vulnerable populations. I am currently pursuing my Master of Social Work (MSW) with the goal of becoming a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and continuing to drive change through direct practice and policy leadership.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Education in Special Education, which provided me with a strong foundation in human behavior, learning differences, and inclusive practices. Building on this background, I am currently pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW) at Grand Canyon University, with the goal of becoming a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). My academic journey reflects a consistent commitment to advocacy, education, and service, equipping me to address the complex needs of diverse populations through both clinical practice and policy leadership.
