Katie Rankins

My name is Katie Rankins, I just recently moved to Florida from Louisiana just for the change of locations. I worked on the ambulance and also was a first responder/firefighter for our local fire department in Louisiana. I decided to moved to Florida to start a new career I would like to get into emergency animal medicine.

I start college again in January to start my education in animal science with a specialty in large animals. I have alway had a passion for animals but there is not a big calling for that career in the small town that I am from. I made the move in hope so find a job in animal emergency.

Work is a passion for me I consume myself with my job I enjoy working and doing things I love and that is helping ones in need.

I have extensive experience working on the ambulance as a first responder and firefighter. My role has involved providing emergency medical care, responding to various emergencies, and ensuring the safety and well being of individuals in critical situation. My responsibilities have included assessing patients conditions, administering first aid and basic life support and collaborating with other emergency services to manage incidents effectively.

I have been dedicated to public safety and also have the ability to remain calm under pressure in various circumstances.

I have completed the EMT course and also had a year worth of emergency care in critical situation. I have all my BLS class and certification.
