Manhattan Mental Health Services, LLC started as a part-time private practice while Dr. Mailey (Co-owner) and I worked at Kansas State University Counseling Services. We learned a lot in our time working both jobs.
When we were able to transition into working full-time for ourselves, we wanted to achieve some balance between addressing the needs of the clients with the needs of ourselves as the providers. Dr. Mailey and I have supported each other and maintained open communication through a number of changes, the first being navigating the transition to full-time, then moving the office so that we could be less isolated and among other talented clinicians, to where we are now.
Now we have successfully hired someone and are working towards hiring another. This growth brings additional support and stability for all members of the practice. We believe we are working to make clinician's work simpler so that they can focus their energy on serving the needs of the clients.
