Software Engineer 2 - MiniMed (formerly, Medtronic) - Northridge, CA
(2021-08)
Supported the release of the Minimed Go application in Europe and US regions by implementing the glucose alert settings feature in the application that allows the user to handle their settings for multiple connected devices such as the insulin sensor and the insulin pen. This allowed for the on time release of the application in February of 2026 and May 2026 respectively for each region.
- Spearheaded the translation effort for MiniMed Go which allowed for the app to be translated to 25+ languages by implementing the proprietary translations tool into our application, and by closely collaborating with the linguists from the translations team in order to ensure the app translation quality.
- Ensured overall quality of the application by implementing test driven design best practices when implementing code and ensuring the modules of the codebase have a test coverage of more than 90%.
- Authored detailed software architecture documentation and performed software code change impact analyses for each of the 4 application releases, ensuring robust test quality.
- Onboarded and unblocked junior and new team members to the project and performed code reviews several times per sprint.
- Designed and implemented a Java-based log parser used across 5 different applications, streamlining the log reading process for engineers. It transformed logs into a common format in JSON for enhanced readability.
- Collaborated with a 3-member server engineering team to ensure alignment of periodic data packets with YAML file specifications. Utilized Postman for verification, ensuring 100% data accuracy and consistency.
