I am a dedicated Social Services Professional with over four years of experience working in youth shelters, specializing in supporting troubled and homeless youth. I am currently pursuing a degree in psychology with a minor in social services and criminal justice, which reflects my deep commitment to understanding and addressing the needs of children and families in the community.
I am passionate about helping others and making a positive impact through advocacy for others. I pride myself on being reliable, compassionate, and driven to inspire change in the lives of those I serve, and I am excited to bring my experience, education, and dedication to new opportunities where I can continue to grow and contribute meaningfully.
I have extensive experience in team leadership, program compliance, and youth advocacy gained from various roles in residential youth shelters. As a Residential Team Lead Supervisor, I led and mentored staff, ensured compliance with accreditation and licensing standards, and coordinated staff scheduling to optimize operations. My responsibilities included overseeing recruitment, training, and disciplinary processes, maintaining budgetary and regulatory compliance, and participating in community committees to advocate for youth welfare.
Previously, as a Youth Development Specialist Shift Lead, I supervised daily shelter operations, managed intakes and behavioral assessments, responded to critical incidents, and facilitated skill-building activities for at-risk youth.
In addition, my experience as a Customer Support Lead allowed me to build strong leadership and organizational skills by managing a high-performing team, resolving escalated issues, and implementing strategies to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.
I am finishing my Associate of Science degree in Psychology from Broward College, where I maintain a 3.8 GPA. I am currently preparing to transfer to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in social services and criminal justice.
