Kelly Arthurs

I am a hard-working social work major at Grand Valley with a 3.9 GPA. I have thirteen years of continuous sobriety and opened a sober living home, in Grand Haven, serving as a house manager. I am empathetic, good at connecting and identifying strengths. I enjoy advocacy work, leading groups, networking and making a difference in people's lives. I am a teachable team player.

• Taught life skills and job-readiness to returning citizens
• Started a women's support group with the Holland police 
• Walk alongside people in early recovery
• Networked for referrals and to provide resources for participants
• Trained mentors, edited curriculum and supervised an intern

I was just accepted to the Social Work program at Grand Valley. I am maintaining a 3.9 GPA. I have studied about and worked with diverse populations.
